Update the Dragon Scimitars special attack

The Dragon Scimitar used to be cool, Monkey Madness was worth doing because of this, but now it is basically obselete. Compared to the Dragon Dagger, it has the same statistics with a worse special attack, granted it uses slash instead of stab which in some situations may be more beneficial except the Dragon Longsword also uses slash and has more power.

 

The effort to acquire these weapons is massively different, one requiring 4+ Hours of questing whilst the other two require around 30 minutes. I don't think this makes much sense personally, but after some debate with a clan mate (Recruiting Btw, add for details) realise there is some merit to the nerfing of weapons.

 

Anyway, onto my suggestion and how it could actually provide some risk to "1 Itemers" who currently run around free to do as they like without a worry.

 

Update the Dragon Scimitars special attack.

 

Currently D Scim special disables your opponents protection prayers (protect from melee, NOT protect item) for a mesely 5 seconds for 55% energy, roughly enough time for 1-2 hits weapon dependent, hardly beneficial in a real fight compared to the dragon daggers four double hits.

 

I suggest this be altered to disabling all of your opponents prayers for 5 seconds, including protect item.

 

This would not be over-powered in the slightest since in that time you may, like I said, get 1-2 hits. What it would do however, is allow us to combat against 1 itemers.

 

Imagine, you stand in the bank luring in a 1 itemer wearing full rune and an obby maul. Next thing he appears, the pest. He's down to 50hp and you quickly switch to your * Scim for the spec KO and loot him of his 1 item!

 

I believe this would give us a use for Dragon Scimitars again, a good reason to complete Monkey Madness and an actual defence against 1 itemers without having to remove anything from the game!

Blighted lands for Old Armour

One way to deal with this would be to give players some way to upgrade Dragon armour to Tier 70 while retaining its decorated status. This, however, could affect game balance, or be too complicated.

About the runescape combat system

Sure there is training involved, but beyond that, what DarkScape is lacking that I really believed it would offer, is the ability for my sword to shape the world.
